I serve as the technology advisor and technical liaison for the Ministry of Stories, a non-profit creative writing centre in East London that helps children and young people to develop their writing. I also look after on-site computer systems and office technology. We launched in November 2010.
We received considerable press upon launch:
We were also on the Breakfast Show, in the Time Magazine Blog, passed around Reuters, written about in a variety of international news sources, and have been the subject of many blog posts and tweets. I'm happy to say that the site survived getting tweeted by Neil Gaiman, who has around 1.5 million followers. Manifest, who designed our site and coordinates our hosting, did have to increase the bandwidth a bit. :-)
