Our earliest concept for the World University Project involved sending teams of gradstudents with videocameras to universities in representative regions around the world. These gradstudents would run workshops in their expertise, while also developing short documentaries about the society and student experience at institutions they visited.
In a recession, this approach didn't attract much funding interest. We changed our strategy to focus on student-contributed video with the later launch of UniLives.com
